What ethnic group was most represented in Sunflower County schools in 2022-23 school year?

Of the 2,593 students enrolled in Sunflower County schools in 2022-23 school year, 84.8% were Black or African American, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Sunflower County students.

This is a 15.1% decrease from the previous school year.

Countywide, Gentry High School had the largest enrollment of Black or African American students in the 2022-23 school year.
