2021-22 School Year: What were the backgrounds of Yazoo City Municipal School District students?

Black students made up 97.8% of the 2,124 students enrolled in Yazoo City Municipal School District schools during the 2021-22 school year, making them the most represented ethnicity, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

This is a 1.7% decrease from the previous school year.

McCoy Elementary School had the highest enrollment in the district with 714 students.

A snapshot of Yazoo City Municipal School District schools showed 97.8% of students were Black and 0.5% multiracial.
