Of the 3,724 students in Leflore County schools, 50.2% were men and 49.8% were women, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

The previous year, the student body across Leflore County schools was 49.6% men and 50.4% women.

Greenwood High School in Greenwood had the highest number of boy and girl students.

There are 11 schools within Leflore County.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly one decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
