White had the largest percent of student body in Bolivar County schools in 2021-2022 school year

Of the 3,993 students enrolled in Bolivar County schools in 2021-2022, 27.1% were White, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Bolivar County students.

This is an 11% increase over the previous school year.

Bell Elementary School had the highest enrollment of White students in the 2021-2022 school year.

A snapshot of Bolivar County schools showed 27.1% students were White.

There are 12 schools in Bolivar County.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly one decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
