Of the 684 students enrolled in Sharkey County schools in 2020-2021, 98% were Black or African American, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Sharkey County students.

This is a 1.2% increase over the previous school year.

South Delta Elementary School had the highest enrollment of Black or African American students in the 2020-2021 school year.
