Of the 3,103 students enrolled in Sunflower County schools in 2020-2021, 95.5% were Black or African American, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Sunflower County students.

Gentry High School had the highest enrollment of Black or African American students in the 2020-2021 school year.
