2019-2020: What were the backgrounds of Bolivar County students?

Of the 5,254 students enrolled in Bolivar County schools in 2019-2020, 80.1% were Black or African American, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Bolivar County students.

This is unchanged from the previous school year.

Cleveland Central High School had the highest enrollment of Black or African American students in the 2019-2020 school year.

A snapshot of Bolivar County schools showed 80.1% students were Black or African American, 14.4% were White, 1.7% were Two or More Races, 0.5% were Hispanic or Latino and 0.2% were Asian.
