Lady Trojans Lose in Second Round
Taking on the #1 ranked Jones County Lady Bobcat on their own home floor was too much for the Lady Trojans of Mississippi Delta Community College. MDCC fell 90-50 in the second round of the Region 23 Women's Basketball Tournament. Jones County will now face Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in the Final Four at Mississippi College on March 4. The other semifinal game will be Pearl River Community College taking on Meridian Community College. The winners will face off on Sunday, March 5 for the Region 23 Championship.
The Lady Trojans end their season with a 16-11 overall record. Jones County is now 23-3 overall and undefeated in the MACCC.
