Free Throws For Valdosta State Key in Delta State's Road Loss
The Lady Statesmen (7-13 overall, 6-10 GSC) ended their difficult weekend road trip with a tough matchup at Valdosta State (15-3, 14-2). Delta State created extra chances for the Lady Blazers on Saturday evening with 15 turnovers and 19 fouls that lead to 21 VSU free throw makes on 27 attempts.
Both teams had similar shooting percentages with Delta State at .359 and VSU at .364. The Lady Blazers also only hit one more three-pointer than the Lady Statesmen with Delta State attempting 6 fewer shots from beyond the arc.
