Anybody that was ever good at anything was bad at it before it got perfected. If you want to succeed, don’t be afraid to fail. Here are some examples that might give you some encouragement the next time you fail: *Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. *Steven Spielberg was rejected twice by the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. *Thomas Edison was told by his teachers he was too stupid to learn anything. *The first time Jerry Seinfeld did stand-up he froze on stage and was booed by the audience. *Steve Jobs was fired from Apple. *Dr Seuss had his first book rejected by 27 different publishers.
*Bob Dylan was booed off the stage at his high school talent show. *Walt Disney was fired from the Kansas City Star because his editor felt he “lacked imagination and had no good ideas. *Stephen King's novel Carrie, was rejected by 30 publishers. *Colonel Sanders at age 62 with a $105 social security check in hand, pitched his chicken recipe to restaurants. According to reports, some 1,009 people rejected him.
Just think about what our world would have been left with if these and many others had just given up. Today is not your day to get discouraged or give up!
